Summer Social Cooking Classes
with Nourishing Spirits in Kansas City

How it works:

* Form a group of 5-8 friends, coworkers, or neighbors.
* One person offers to share her kitchen (25% discount)
* Decide on a day (10am-1pm) or evening (6pm-9pm)
* Pick a menu
* Show up ready for fun

Chef Lindsay Rice Yoshida will arrive with the drinks, the dishes and the ingredients for a cooking demonstration. You will receive cooking instruction, nutritional advice, and recipes. Enjoy the delicious and healthy tasting menu with your lively social group.

Class Fee per person: $45
Includes drinks, tasting menu, and recipes

June: Light and Lovely

* Edamame dip with cucumbers
* Smoked salmon nori rolls
* Marinated beets and red onions
* French green bean salad
* Pine nut and anise cookies
* Ginger beer and vodka cocktails

July: A Better Barbeque

* Green deviled eggs
* Lean and local beef patties
* Baked beans w/ miso & apple butter
* American chopped salad
* Vegan chocolate cake
* Local and low-carb beers

August: Beat the Heat

* Summer gazpacho
* Divine chicken salad
* Oriental noodle salad with cashews
* Quinoa corn salad with basil
* Cold cous cous cakes
* Bluberry & lemon vodka cocktails

September: A Harvest Meal

* Sea vegetable & seeds mix snack
* Harvest millet and vegetable stew
* Mixed greens and walnut sauté
* Broiled savory mushrooms
* Almond butter cookies
* Red wine selection

Lindsay Rice Yoshida

Nourishing Spirits Chef Lindsay Rice Yoshida is a gourmet natural foods chef with a background in Macrobiotics. She is the creator of Nourishing Spirits cooking business and had a full clientele as a personal chef in Santa Fe, NM and Berkeley, CA for 10 years. Lindsay has recently returned to her home town of Prairie Village, KS and is excited to participate in the local food scene as well as help small groups savor the joys of healthy home cooking.
